18-24 歲民眾睡眠品質及相關因素之探討

摘要


目的:睡眠問題是現今民眾關注的健康議題。18~24 歲的民眾經常犧牲睡眠來換取課業、工作或娛樂活動,不好的睡眠品質嚴重影響學習能力、健康狀態甚至是未來發展。本研究針對18~24 歲民眾之睡眠品質進行探討,並分析與睡眠品質相關因素。

 

方法:本研究使用行政院主計處民國九十四年九月進行之”社會發展趨勢調查--健康生活調查”資料,該研究係以面對面訪談方式進行資料收集。本研究僅擷取年齡在18 至24 歲的民眾,共3889 位受訪者進行分析。
 

結果:性別、宗教信仰、職業情形、全年收入、居住地區、自覺健康、就醫情形、規律運動、就寢時間及睡眠時數和與睡眠品質得分達顯著差異。在同時考量睡眠品質相關因素後,發現女性(OR=1.18)、有工作者(OR=1.27)、無宗教信仰(OR=1.23)、自覺健康不好(OR=6.07)、就醫情形多及較晚就寢者和睡眠時數小於6 小時者(OR=1.66)其睡眠品質較不理想。
 

討論:18-24 歲民眾的睡眠問題有其特性,顯著因素與生活型態安排相關。若能以此進行衛教宣導,改變其生活型態並加強健康促進觀念,建立年輕族群良好睡眠習慣,以改善睡眠品質。

Abstract


Objective: Sleep problem is one of the most important issues that people concern about in recent decades. Young adults, especially aged from 18 to 24, usually sacrificed their sleep time for studying, working or leisure activities. Poor sleep quality seriously affected their learning capacity, health and even future development. The aim of this study is to explore the sleep quality of young adults and examined the related factors associated with sleep quality.

 

Methods: The data was extracted from “Survey of social development trends-health security”, conducted by Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, Executive Yuan, R.O.C. (Taiwan) in 2005. The survey collected the data with face-to face interview. In total, 3889 young adults were included in the study.
 

Results: Gender, religion, residential area, job status, perceived state of health, regular exercise, sleep time and medical utilization all significantly related with the score of sleep quality. Young adults who were female (OR=1.18), perceived bad health (OR=6.47) or bedtime after 10 o’clock (OR=1.78) and 0 o’clock (OR=3.03) have worse sleep quality.
 

Conclusion: The results showed that related factors with sleep quality in young adults. It will be helpful to design the health protocol for enhancing the health life-style in young adults for improving their sleep quality.
