以活動理論框架資訊系統研究

摘要
詮釋性的方法假設事實只能經由社會結構的方式，例如：語言，意識和共享的意義
來接近。學者建議以詮釋方法研究資訊系統的目標應該致力於產生一個能了解的資訊系
統上下文脈絡和這一資訊系統對（及被）上下文脈絡影響的過程。對於研究興趣集中在
了解和詮釋調查現象的學者，有必要選擇一個社會理論來指導詮釋性研究。本文的目的
是介紹活動理論為資訊系統研究的框架。活動理論的實務應用及在資訊系統研究上的使
用也一併被證明和討論。

Abstract
The interpretive approach assumes that reality can only be accessed through social
constructions such as language, consciousness and shared meanings. It has been suggested
that interpretive methods of research in information systems (IS) should aim at producing an
understanding of the context of the information system, and the process whereby the
information system influences and is influenced by the context. For the research interest
focused on understanding and interpreting the phenomena under investigation, there is a need
to select a social theory to guide the interpretive research. The aim of this paper is to introduce
Activity Theory as a framework for IS research. The application of Activity Theory in practice
and the use of Activity Theory for IS Research are demonstrated and discussed.
