間質性膀胱炎患者之生病歷程探討

摘 要
本研究主要目的在探討間質性膀胱炎患者之生病歷程，藉由質性研究深度訪談九位間質性膀胱炎患者的求醫過程、主觀感受、想法及調適方式。研究所得資料經分析、歸納，結果有以下主題：『捉摸不定極徬徨』、『生活受限一團亂』、『症狀控制原可期』及『調整自己克服它』。由研究個案之分享可以看出患者罹病過程中所受之煎熬、症狀衍生之困擾，以及個案之調適方式，因此本研究結果可提供醫護人員在給予間質性膀胱炎個案個別性照護之參考。

To Explore the Illness Experience in People with Interstitial Cystitis

Abstract
The aim of this paper was to explore patients’ experience of suffering from Interstitial Cystitis (IC).An in-depth interviewing of qualitative research design was used in nine participants who met recruitment criteria. Participants were encouraged to talk about their experiences of seeking medical helps, perceptions of, and coping strategies for IC. Data was recorded, coded and then categorized. Four themes were generated, including “I feel uncertain and anxious”, “My life is a mess and lack of freedom”, “I learn and realize how to manage my symptoms and how treatment will work”, “I adjust myself and try to get over it”. This study provided the information about how IC patients suffered and bothered by the symptoms. It also offered information about their coping strategies. Results of this study are helpful for health care providers to understand IC patients’ viewpoints and further to provide more individualized care.
